The Esmé Project supports young women as they step into independence, equipping them with the real-world skills, confidence, and stability they deserve. Our REDDS programme helps build healthy relationships, stronger bodies and minds, practical life skills, and safe spaces; creating a solid foundation for a future they can believe in.

What's 'REDDS'?

Our REDSS programme helps build healthy relationships, stronger bodies and minds, practical life skills, and safe spaces creating a solid foundation for a future they can believe in. REDDSS focuses on five essential pillars for a successful transition to adult life

Relationships

Learn how to build healthy connections, set boundaries, and recognise what supportive relationships look like. This pillar helps young women develop strong support networks while protecting their emotional wellbeing.

Excercise

Movement as a tool for confidence, resilience, and mental health. We focus on accessible, enjoyable ways to stay active - no pressure, no perfection, just building strength, routine, and self-belief.

Diet

Practical, budget-friendly nutrition that works in real life. Through simple cooking masterclasses, young women learn how to shop smart, prepare nourishing meals, and care for their bodies without overwhelm.

Daily Habits

The everyday skills that make independence manageable. From routines and time management to running a home, this pillar creates structure, stability, and a sense of control over daily life.

Safe Space

Creating home environments that feel calm, secure, and personal. This pillar supports young women in curating spaces that promote peace, safety, and emotional regulation, a place to rest, reset, and grow.

Helping young women understand the importance of sleep, create calming evening routines, and develop healthy sleep habits that support emotional regulation, focus, and overall mental health.

We combine time in nature with community-building and the development of healthy relationships. Our trips are typically hiking adventures across the UK, including Snowdonia and the Lake District. We also take small groups further afield, such as a recent trip to Engelberg, Switzerland, offering three days of guided hiking alongside integrated wellbeing workshops

Our goal is to ensure that no care leaver feels they are facing a "cliff edge" when they move into independence, but rather that they are stepping onto a solid foundation we have helped them build.

One‑on‑one financial advice, becoming debt free, help with utility bills, council tax arrears, and budgeting.
